Stockholm-born, Perth-based singer-songwriter Vendela K makes her Lab Six Records debut with her infectious new single, “Hold You Tight,” a shimmering slice of indie pop built to move both body and heart. Written by Vendela K and produced by Jeremy Smith, the track pairs sun-drenched synth work with a slow-burning build that pays off in a euphoric, dance-ready release.

“Hold You Tight” opens with a warm, glowing synth line before layering in rhythm and texture, patiently constructing tension until it breaks into a soaring, hands-in-the-air chorus. It’s a song built for the people you love - the kind of track you send to someone to say what you can’t quite put into words yourself, sneaking up on you with its earnestness before it has you dancing without quite realising it.

“This is the song I’d send to the people I love -  it’s meant to feel like a big kiss you can dance to.”

- Vendela K

There’s an unmistakable identity running through it too -  a voice you’d know as Vendela K’s within seconds, carrying the emotional directness and pop instincts of countrywomen Tove Lo and Robyn, while charting her own path.

Playful, emotionally direct and irresistibly danceable, “Hold You Tight” finds Vendela K sharpening her voice as a pop songwriter, proving she can make you move and make you feel in the same three minutes -  and make you want to send it to someone who matters.
