“As with the approach to most of my music, the track came together jamming on some of my synths. The most effective way to create is to set up with some gear and just hit record. In the span of 40 minutes to an hour of playing, only about 40 seconds of truly impactful sounds may emerge. Yet, this catalyst helps push you into an incredible flow state. Without U is no exception. I remember taking the bubbly lead sound from my Eurorack synth and the vocals from my sampler. After I had these, the song pretty much wrote itself. It was one of those smooth sessions where you leave with a complete song. Very rare but when it happens you know you're onto something!”
